Yes black and white really lets you feel the mood of a scene I think. Love the jetty jumpers.

Thanks, Glenys. There is something atmospheric about Black and White photography or even the use of pastel colours when capturing a scene.

Cheers Janis and yes we do have an abundance of coastline. Some beaches are packed during summer and a km down the road it will be reasonably empty. Enough to suit all who frequent the beaches. I personally love a deserted one especially if walking and talking with someone. When I was a teenager it would’ve been the crowded beaches 🙂

I love all the different moods in the pictures Suzanne. I think the black and white takes away the familiarity and helps us see with new eyes – both the calm and the turbulence.

I love black and white photography. I feel it captures emotion without the distraction of colours. The seaside is an open canvas for storytelling! Just lovely. Sharing on my SM!
