Oh yes definitely an odd sunrise.. Done a few recently.. It’s dark when I set off and I get to the top of the mountain and the sun is rising. Me the mountains and I and not a soul in site most times.. 😉
I hate to sound like a copycat, but COFFEE does it for me. Hubby brews it just the way I like it, then we linger in our PJs, discussing current events and planning our day. That sunrise would also do it for me if it were across the road and not twenty minutes away. Beautiful photos.

I’ve even be known to skip a layer just to get out to capture one and it’s always that morning when it seems half the neighbourhood is out and about.

Coffee is delivered to me and we watch the sunrise most mornings especially now that it’s arising at a respectable hour.

One’s across the road, the other 4kms and the top is down the top of the South Island. All worth moving before coffee.
