Another week, another hike. Todays was much shorter, around a part of Lake Okareka (photo shown was taken a while ago, didn't have an opportunity to take many of todays venture) and then a quick drive to Okere Falls for a walk and lunch. Brought memories back of my experience going down the Kaituna river in a raft, way back in 1989!! I love visiting Art Galleries especially ones with a sense of celebration, festivity, and playfulness such as local artist Emma Prill's work. She has created a botanical environment on an impressive scale. Growing from the walls of the Tauranga Art Gallery Atrium space are sprays of colourful flowers that reflect the textures, colours, light and forms of a garden.
