Joining in with Jude’s photography challenge on all things yellow.
Kicking back and relaxing in Faro, as you do when you have that perfect blend in life.
Of course, to achieve that ultimate balance, there needs to be a regular food source and occasional human interaction. After all that food a short prowl around the neighbourhood and finally that fantabulous sunny spot for a siesta.
Oh, to be a cat, life must be grand.
Funnily enough, after sifting through travel photos full of sunshine, we have rain today, the first day for weeks. The plants at Plot 44 will be loving it.
A joyful day full of yellow to you all.

Hi Donna, thanks and I suppose the light has much to do with how difficult it is to photograph. Early morning and the end of the day are perfect. We have had light rain patches that are ideal as it gives the soil time to soak up all the goodness.

So do I, Jo 🙂 I can imagine your experience with the local moggies is far different than it was for us visitors! Neutering isn’t a high priority for stray cats in many countries.

They are Janis and they also don’t put up with intolerable behaviour from us humans, unlike dogs who are more loyal. I think I would rather be a cat.

I absolutely love the rustic looking buildings in Portugal and generally all around that part of the world. No one is afraid to use colour. Though having said that not too sure I would like to live in a bright yellow house 🙂

A lot of those rustic buildings in Portugal are practically falling down! I like to photograph them, but I wouldn’t want to live in one. We have some colourful houses here too. I love the deep blue ones. Not so much pink. Again nice to look at, but it’s not really my colour.

Exactly lovely to look at and that’s why we use the word rustic as it’s the polite term for rundown 😉 I like the calming uncluttered effect of the Scandinavian look for living in. Will always love the older character houses in the UK. Deep blue is stunning so are the black and white and just stone work.

Thanks and I like how the photograph turned out, that cat wasn’t moving no matter how much I tried to encourage it to wake up so I could capture it’s yawn 🙂

A rare spot of snow here today, so not much chance of seeing anything yellow, although the daffodils have been out for a few weeks in one of the houses I pass on my run.
