Rosalie

We meet extraordinary people along life’s road who make a positive impact forever. Rosalie is one of those people.

A Devon lass is Rosalie
Who welcomed us
with open arms.

Generous amounts of dry wit and
Whipped clotted cream delights
All wrapped in encompassing hugs.

Warmth radiated even when night fell
There began
An everlasting friendship.

When travel became impossible
our relationship with you
never faltered.

A video, a message,
Sparked witty retorts and
Shared laughter.

If we could we would fly
to be by your side.
To nudge your recovery along.

We're holding onto those memories
wrapped up in hugs and
Smudged clotted cream smiles.

Until, we see you again.

    1. She’s a lovely and very kind soul. The parting words when meeting people while travelling was “I’ll write when I get home.” So, now it’s good to have instant messaging when people aren’t too busy to reply😀

    1. Thanks Eilene, we are crossing our fingers and toes that she’s able to recover and enjoy more time with John and family. Yes, it is great that we can communicate so readily instead of relying on what are previously very expensive toll calls. Especially from NZ.
