Embracing Stillness: The Pohutukawa

The stillness is contagious.
The pohutukawa trees are still.
Their blossoms scream stillness.
The grey clouds barely move.
I am still.
Typed words rebounding
on the line.
Like a therapeutic stone
skimming a still pond.

    1. Agreed, that the best Christmas tree is the Pohutukawa. We are so fortunate to have a few near us and I find them cheerful to view from our window/balcony. They have blossomed early this year supposedly an indication of a hot summer.
