Sorting photos for a photo challenge is a great way to beat overthinking. Even my watch, in a surprising turn of events, suggested I take a break from its sweaty embrace. So, here I am, taking a rest day and cataloguing a few posts about geometric shapes. I’m in Hong Kong today, obviously not literally. However, we did a 4-day stopover in 2016, and we would’ve needed more time to really know this city, though no photographer’s visit has been complete without capturing a few images of trams. Don’t you agree?

No images of us as we weren’t geometric enough and not standing in the correct position.

That opening pic is perfect for the theme!

Great place, Hong Kong, teeming with life – and geometry! Not sure we used trams though – definitely used MTR a lot.

We never used the trams either just walked for miles. Though the trams certainly caught my attention.

I was last in Hong Kong in 1983. I love all the languages on the trams. I don’t remember them being around at all back in the day.

Sometimes 1983 doesn’t feel that long ago until I realise it’s actually 42 years ago. Hong Kong is certainly a melting pot of cultures.

I was living in Guangzhou. Going to Hong Kong meant pizza and hot showers.

oh these are fabulous, bring back memories of my 5 day visit in 2004!
And I am glad geometry is proving to be self care too xx

Thanks, Becky; a girl can’t have too many self-care distractions to keep her going forwards xx

You’re right, Jo, they do. Hey, no worries about the other comments which were mistakenly sent to me. Hence why I didn’t approve them 🙂

Those apartment buildings! Incredible! It looks a busy, busy place.

It was a busy place, Cathy and not one I would revisit. Though it was interesting as an interlude between NZ and Europe.

I love trams, perhaps because we don’t have them in London! The one with flowers on is lovely 🙂

Aces on the geometry, Suzanne! I have never been to Asia and never seen double-decker trams before. Very cool.

Thanks, Eileen, and I agree they are very cool. Usually very packed if my memory serves me correctly.
