Two adventurous twenty-somethings, craving a thrill, envisioned themselves on Waiheke Island, dancing the night away.
Throwing clothes into a duffle bag and then themselves out the front door, they embarked on a journey of uncertain consequences and undeniable anticipation. The thrill of the unknown was palpable as their hearts raced and their feet hurried forward to the ferry station.
After a hilly, longish walk from the ferry to the pub, and a sleepless, questionable 24 hours, they were still full of energy, dancing through psychedelic flowerbeds on their return journey to the ferry landing.
Many of life’s questions answered.

Itβs hard to imagine not having these one off kinds of adventures to recall and smile about from time to time. Nobodyβs business but our own.

Very true. I must admit smiling and thinking of those times when it still felt sort of safe to be wild and crazy even for a night.

I love my life as much as possible, under the current circumstances. I wouldn’t like to live a life of a 20-something again.

I wonder if the answers given to life were the the right answers. I imagine it depends on one’s perspective. π
