In this new series, ” Snapshots of Tauranga,” I will highlight our lives in Tauranga through personal experiences, community happenings, or random sightings, as the image below shows while I’m walking.
Youthful Optimism
One last sandcastle for the road?
An early morning walk along the walkway through Kulim Park – looking out to Mauao. This solo sandcastle made me smile.
The place is heaving with children during the day so I am presuming one child wanted his creation to last longer than the rest. It did 😉 Not sure about the sand, I will have a feel next time I’m over there.
Not too far, though for a mini human it would be a small distance. The sandy area is what I would class as more of a harbour foreshore than an actual beach. Lovely big trees to have a picnic under and for children to play in the water without large waves.
Ha! I didn’t recognise it until you said, Suzanne. It looks a bit like a sack someone has dumped on the path. The sand must be coarse and gritty?

Lovely photo that is simple but full of questions. Fabulous example of the rules of thirds.

Thanks Janis, and I suppose that’s what this series is about, images full of questions, humour and small glimpses of Life at No22.

Looks like whoever had to tote it quite a ways!

Thanks, Sarah, I will be posting more though not sure of the frequency. Then, I always try and put out a post once a week.

That sandcastle would make me smile too, especially with that backdrop! 🙂

It’s a lovely area to walk around by the harbour. Motivation to get out of bed 😄
