Snapshots of Tauranga #54 – Reflections and Kingfishers

It’s been simply a week of reflecting, perhaps a smattering of overthinking, moments of stillness and movement, of enjoying the abundance of birdlife, mainly kingfishers and the sounds of the raucous Tui. Plus, the usual hour or two of basketball training.

A Kingfisher wrapped in the warmth of a glowing sunset.

Doubled picture perfection

On windless days

Even in winter

As the sun stretched low

Her rays like claws

Wrapping the world

in a warm embrace.

Peeking behind clouds

Ready to pounce.
