We revisited the extraordinarily pretty white village of Comares in the Malaga province in 2017. At over 750 metres above sea level, it was breathtaking. Our main village for supplies would be Riogordo, where we walked the surrounding hills during the cooler hours of the morning or evening.
Morning dog walkThe reason for our revisit to Comares.
Cheers, Jo, the sun lit up those gorgeous views rather nicely. What did you mean “your Sunday name, these days”? It must be my tired brain from my humid walk this morning couldn’t work that one out.
Oh ok, most family members call me Su, or Suzy or Suzanne. I’ve always preferred Suzanne though got tired of correcting people who shorted it. At the end of the day, it’s not an issue. As long as someone calls me for dinner 😉
I am sure he would’ve loved it and perhaps a small part of him is there now enjoying it. For him and for you all it is very sad his dream wasn’t totally fulfilled.
Eilene, it’s worth the long distance travel to experience the architecture, culture, food, the people and just the atmosphere that combination creates. Brilliant country to explore.
I love the golden aura to the first shot, Suzanne. Your Sunday name, these days. Road tripping, here I come!

You signed your postcards Su, whereas we all address you as Suzanne.

I prefer Johanna, but it’s more of a mouthful than Jo. I’ll remember that when dinner’s ready!

Beautiful views. This is exactly the sort of location my son was hoping to move to. He loved the rural views of Malaga province.

His ashes are there, underneath a lemon tree. It’s what he requested. It is sad and cruel that he was so close to living his dream.

Here’s to wishing, his lemon tree flourishes for many years to come.

Mel, you’ve never quite found the correct cream for that itch 😉 Our experiences in Spain will always be memorable highlights of our travels.

I’ve a feeling you don’t want to. So, keep doing it until you can’t or tire of it😉 Life can change so quickly.

With three dogs to look after, we had our moments. When not housesitting, it was far more idyllic.

What a beautiful village! I wouldn’t like driving the narrow roads either, but apart from that it looks idyllic 😀

Somewhere different and our love of olive trees made it an interesting place to be for a few weeks.
