A-Z of NZ Locations – Tokomaru Bay

The times we spent in Tokomaru Bay were carefree.

I’ve decided to share more images than words that encapsulate the rural and isolated areas of the East Coast and Tokomaru.

It’s all about pipi dancing, holding onto a fishing rod, sand between the toes and slow strolls along the beach sort of place. On most days, not a lot happens down on Tokomaru Bay.

Due to the hilly terrain, the iconic woolshed sheep farming is still popular in this part of N.Z..
Disused building – endless potential
Tokomaru Bay Wharf – ship stories galore if it could talk
A different day, a different time – the same wharf at Tokomaru Bay
Fancy a bit of a stroll?

    1. Hi Jo, thanks and yes we walked along it though that change depending on the weather etc. All fishermen do is chat and be one with the ocean, a bonus if they catch a fish, so I’m told.
