Life at No.22, Snapshots of Tauranga

Snapshots of Tauranga #10

Wild Outside
Blown inside out
Picture perfect inside.

Crying Clouds and Confused Wind, that Saturday.

Life carries on, and so does the kitchen renovation. In between, I’m accompanied on my walks by a cool autumn breeze with a tinge of winter thrown in for good measure, and the lovely bonus of sunny days. I’m finding it difficult to concentrate with the noise level I’m currently experiencing; so I will endeavour to get more detailed posts out in quieter times.

End of the school holidays

Early morning reflection that caught my eye.
Good Morning, Tauranga.

    1. I think the weather is teasing us all a wee bit. We are having a winter blast with cool mornings though with sunny days. Another calm morning to enjoy my estuary walk. I hope Spring returns soon for you, Jude.

  1. Love Acers, and that reflected bird (don’t ask me what kind!) I’m not fond of noise either. There’s a new building being erected not far from ours and I love the weekend when work stops.

    1. The bird is a bar-tailed godwit, I should have included it under the image. To be fair to the tradies, they’re doing a good job with minimal noise. I was tired yesterday, everything caught up with me. May is looking like a very busy month at No.22. I hope the building work finishes soon for you. I have a feeling people are renovating than changing houses or buildings, a cheaper option.

      1. This plot has stood empty for a long time so it was a bit of a shock to have work start there. It is the Portuguese way to fill in the gaps on an estate little by little, but our street has been complete for some time now. It seems to be a monster of a building and will overlook several of our neighbours. Once it’s complete it won’t affect us, but there’s a lot of work to get there. But you’re right about the renovating! We’re off to Ronda for a few days next week and I’m really looking forward to that.

    1. Shazza, it’s a bar-tailed godwit. I forgot to include that under the image. I had a few glimpses of other bird reflections as the harbour was calm and really lovely. Always appreciate those calm autumn walks.

  2. It’s fun to contemplate our opposite changes in season. You, enjoying autumn leaves. We, just watching them emerge in spring. I just belatedly looked on Google Map to see exactly where Tauranga is.☺️
