Seagulls: Masters of the Sky and Sea

Even for the most polarising bird ever. The seagull.

Moving forward is never quite as straightforward if you’re a hungry seagull and never usually horizontal to the earth. Sometimes, moving forward to that reward requires a downward move in the endeavour for a daily feed.

Nearly done

In the end, moving forward for whatever reason is usually productive, especially for this seagull. It meant his puku (stomach) was satisfied before Mother Nature turned off the lights.

Mission accomplished.

  1. I agree with everyone, these are superb birding shots.

I do feel sorry for gulls as most of them don’t hassle humans, and some species avoid humans at all costs.

    1. Thanks, Becky and yes they’re just doing their job. Tad annoying when having fish and chips by the sea. I suppose they learned to be persistent and the silly humans will cave in.
