With three weeks until spring, we have more cool mornings with sunshine until sundown than cold, rainy days. Walking and enjoying nature are at the top of my needs list, no matter how busy life becomes.

Being outdoors, just noting the little changes, it’s all you need.

What an attractive bird! We don’t have them over here.

It is and no the UK certainly doesn’t have any. Though we enjoyed watching the antics of your more popular breeds.

Yes, we have plenty of pretty birds of our own 😀

Most places we stayed had bird feeders and the odd squirrel running up the pole for the seeds 🙂

What a gorgeous photo! We don’t have that bird here, but the blossoms on the tree look very familiar

Thanks, Janis. I am sure you have that tree around California as the Prickly Coral Tree originates from the warmer climate of Asia. This photo was taken last year around the same time though the tree blossoms more in September than August.

What a super photo Suzanne. But I am not thinking of autumn here until the 22 September – still a long way off, our summer has hardly started!

Thanks, Jude. Yes, you’re right as in that the next season usually doesn’t really begin until the end of September or even the end of October. We have had more sunny days than not though the temperatures have dropped lower than we’re used to in the Bay of Plenty. It will be interesting to see how summer plays out for us. Autumn is usually the best time of the year with more settled weather. I could be wrong 😉

Oh, how I wish we could have a few sunny weeks! Not necessary hot, just pleasantly warm and sunny.

Warm and sunny is the ideal climate. Hot not so much especially here with our damaging sun.
