There are moments when I imagine that the heavens seem to hold their breath and when the sky seems to be so swollen with the weight of what must be released.

Storms, like our own inner reckonings, arrive not always in anger, though in a sort of relief. A mercy.

They break open what was too tightly held, too long contained. The crackle is the whisper before the truth thunders through. And in the downpour, in the tempest, there is grace, fierce and unfiltered.

It reminds us that even the sky must sometimes weep to clear the air.

The waves under pressure and Papamoa Hills shots are almost other-worldly. Stunning!

Suzanne, these are stunning images. I can feel the pressure… the crackle… the relief… and the weeping. It has to happen, sweetheart. If only my hugs could help xx

Every hug, whether in reality or virtually, is always a boost for us both. One of those frequent moments, though they pass just as quickly as a colourful storm. Thanks, Jo xx

I left a comment, but not sure if it went through – pesky WP.

Unfortunately, I didn’t receive your previous comment and this one went into the spam folder. You’re definitely not spam. How’s life going across the ditch?

That’s weird and WP is up to it’s old tricks again – frustrating!
All good here but sweltering. We hardly having a Spring and experiencing unusually high temps and storms for this time of year.
How is everything over there? We’re researching buying a Ute and slide-on to do some cmaping in Australia. 😉

Thanks, Tracy, much appreciated. Les is being so courageous, and I’m not sure I could be that strong and for a long length of time.

I think I would be completely overwhelmed. Les has a lot of grit.

Wonderful images, Suzanne. I love the way you captured the wave and the second one looks very intimidating!

Thanks very much, Cathy. At the moment it’s terrifying wind and some rain, not in our district as the South Island is copping it.

I hope there’s no damage or casualties, scary when it’s so bad.

A bit of damage in some areas down south. Weather events are becoming the norm for around the world.
