I find being present is something which takes an enormous amount of practice, unless you have a personality type that naturally can block things/not worry etc. But the situation you are in calls for almost superhuman skill. So think of it this way, if you can be present now you are practicing an extremely valuable skill. Who knows where that skill will take you in years to come but you will never regret it. Sister I am right beside you, so many women are.
Thanks, Diane. I appreciate the moment for being there, and on some other occasions, I enjoy wherever my mind takes me. Nothing like a “free” holiday 😉
I find the hardest thing is to be present in the moment. Sitting in a cafe with friends, enjoying a coffee and cake while watching the waves rippling onto the sand, and someone in our group say “Well, what are we going to do?” The reply was “We are doing it”, which the really didn’t understand.
Amazing shot! And words.

Thanks, Anabel. One of those weeks when I didn’t get my act together to write up a post.

Not as easy as it sounds sometimes.

I couldn’t agree more, and those words resonated with me, though I can’t remember where I read them.

Nothing like presence, Suzanne. We can only be where we are.
Wonderful snapshot!

Love the photo. I try to be present, but thoughts do intrude and away I go!

Those random thoughts and the endless places they take us. Who would be without them?

My kind of beach shot. I think it’s OK to drift away sometimes.
