There are so many objects, situations, and even aspects of nature that could be classed as having similar qualities if you looked hard enough, yet be very different.

Here is one example I found while walking along the boardwalk, having nearly completed that section of the estuary walk.
I realised the other day that I am constantly looking at my surroundings and noticing the oddities that arise from my observations. You could say a quiet enjoyment between me and myself until now.

See if you can visualise the similarities between these two images. One is built by a homeless man, and the other is a bird, both with creative freedom to choose how their home will be.

At the time of posting, my Walk for Waipuna, a fundraiser for our local hospice, begins. So, better get myself organised and out the door. Have a lovely evening/day.

I hadn’t seen a rainbow in a long while. That’s a great photo.

One of the positives of showers and the sun reappearing. Though not so grand if out walking in humidity.

That sunrise is divine. But I wonder about the homeless person’s shelter, it looks pretty permanent.

Thanks Jude, we are enjoying some spectacular sunrises and sunsets of late. Yes, some of the homeless creative homes do look permanent. Never ceases to amaze me how easy they shift them to another location. Collecting bits and pieces to make up like a bird building a nest.

A beautiful sight, Suzanne. When does the walk take place? xx

Hi Jo, people have signed up to walk 100kms or more for the month of April. Not just one walk like a marathon etc. Another way of fundraising and getting the community out there exercising 🙂 xx

That boat looks well-maintained for being at a mooring so long. It must get used?
I hadn’t thought of comparing a “homeless” home to a bird nest, but it makes sense.

My quirkiness connected the two within seconds. I honestly don’t know if it’s been used, though I doubt it. Tauranga harbour has a small issue with abandoned boats, mainly in the harbourside, not this estuary.

What interesting comparisons, between bird and man and the places we build and call home. Makes one ponder. Love that rainbow. 🌈

What’s not to love about a rainbow. It brings the child out of us or is that just me.

No, it’s definitely not just you!

The two nests is the most telling observation in this excellent set

Perfect rainbow! And perfect symmetry in your sunrise photo too

Not intentionally just somethings catch my eye while walking. These days I’m not needing to time myself which is far more relaxing.
